Summary

The Catholic Men’s Leadership Alliance (CMLA) is an organization focused on strengthening men and their relationship with Jesus Christ.  They are excited to announce their next virtual summit designed to help Catholic men do more than bring Christ to the workplace. We need to discover him already there.

The Heroic Men Summit, themed “The Gospel of Work” brings three, practical talks to help men get through the grind, build a better future, and discover how to minister to men.

The free event happens live online on Saturday, September 9, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. CDT.

Meet The Spokesperson

Dan Donaldson

Dan Donaldson is Vice President of the Catholic Men’s Leadership Alliance. Dan worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 20 years before joining the Augustine Institute in 2015, where he helped launch the FORMED platform and oversaw their diocesan partnerships. He then worked with Chris Stefanick at Real Life Catholic to help increase their reach to share the love of Jesus with more souls. Dan joined the Catholic Men’s Leadership Alliance in October 2022 and is passionate about expanding ministry to men worldwide. Dan resides in Colorado with his wife Andrea of 30 years and their 5 children.

Jeff Joaquin

Jeff's Bio

Jeff Joaquin is a member of the Board of Directors of Paradisus Dei, the ministry that provides the That Man Is You! (TMIY) Program to over 800 parishes across the USA and overseas.  For more than 14 years, Jeff has been actively involved in spreading the TMIY program on a local, regional and national level. He recently provided content for three different sessions which are part of the Year 7 and 8 programming for TMIY.

Jeff is one of the founding members of the Tampa Bay Catholic Men’s Conference which had its 13th Annual Conference in February of 2023.  The Conference has consistently provided national speakers and ministry opportunities to the nearly 1,000 men in attendance for over the last decade.

Jeff is the Owner of JMJ Site Development Inc. which is a philanthropic construction company
supporting worthy ministries all over the world from the Philippines, India, Kenya, the Central
Africa Republic, Guatemala, Jerusalem and across the entire United States.

Jeff has embarked on a new journey to create awareness of the often-overlooked men’s perspective of abortion. He lays bare the impact and lifelong burden of guilt and grief that men carry after abortion in an effort to provide men and women a path to healing and to help others make positive decisions about unexpected pregnancies. Jeff has given talks on abortion, pro-life, substance abuse, business and charity to high school students, men’s conferences and retreats all over the country. His abortion talk has received national attention and has been played on TMIY, Formed.org, Shalom Media, Heroic Men and countless other media outlets.

Jeff and his wife Sandy have one daughter and have resided in Tampa, Florida for the last 27 years.

Andreas Widmer

Andreas' Bio

Andreas Widmer is the founder and director of the Art & Carlyse Ciocca Center for Principled Entrepreneurship at The Catholic University of America’s Busch School of Business where he loves to teach and mentor students to find their true calling.

Previously, Andreas helped lead high-tech companies, bringing more than one hundred leading-edge technology products to market and also led several organizations focused on enterprise solutions to poverty. He is a former member of the Swiss Guard serving under Pope John Paul II and author of the book, “The Pope and the CEO“, which describes the ten lessons he learned from the late pope about leadership and the centrality of the human person in work. Andreas’s biggest accomplishment in life is building a great marriage together with his wife, Michelle, and his biggest joy is seeing the character of their teenage son, Eli, develop and grow.

Andreas has a passion for helping professionals of all ages to find deeper meaning in their work and sustainable success in Principled Entrepreneurship. One way he does this is to discover and share the stories of successful Principled Entrepreneurs like Art Ciocca who overcame great challenges and built wonderful companies by never losing sight of their humanity.
